About
My love for aviation photography started in 1967 when at the age of 13, a close family friend took me to my first military air show at Nellis AFB. I borrowed my mother’s Kodak 110 Instamatic camera and had a fresh cartridge of twelve pictures all to my own. As they say, the rest is history.
In 1982, during a tour of duty on Okinawa, Japan, I purchased my first 35mm SLR camera a Cannon A-1. Many of the units I served in during my 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps were aviation units. This provided me with a unique opportunity to photograph military aircraft and their operations up close and personal. With the advent of digital cameras my love for photography has only grown stronger.
Since my retirement, I have returned to college to formally study photography and pursue my love of photographing aircraft in flight. Living in Las Vegas, NV has provided me with a unique opportunity to get to know and photograph today’s state of the art military aircraft operating out of Nellis AFB. Nellis AFB is the world premiere military aviation training facility. It hosts numerous U.S. and Allied air forces for joint combined armed exercises and training.
My work is my passion for photography and military aircraft combined.
